Just to say, all of this is just my opinion and taste. I’m not making specific judgments this is not to be read as criticism.

Shows to see:
If you only have time for 1 or two shows then these are the ones you cannot miss
-Matt Connors at Ortzuar projects. I might be spelling that wrong. But don’t miss this show it’s perfect.
-Virginia Overton at Bortolami. I always love her work.
- ker-xavier Rousel at Michael Werner gallery uptown. Beautiful old school drawings.
-diamond stingley 52 walker

Other shows I saw and would recommend stopping by
-Zoe Barcza at Derosia
-David ostrowski at spruth and magers
-Christopher wool show at 101 Greenwich st - tbh this kind of disappointed me. Christopher wool is owed tons of respect! And the paintings still stand up. But I think he is an artist who has been ruined  by the culture that came after him. Laura Owens, wade gyton and Jacqueline Humphries (to name a few) ran because Christopher wool walked. And anyone older than me would probably smack me, but I think as someone who grew up after wools biggest moment - I can only appreciate him as someone who broke things open for artists down the road rather than what the work looks like in 2024. If that makes sense.
- Susan cianciolo at Bridget Donahue -this isn’t my personal favorite work ever but I hugely respect it and think it’s still cool and interesting
-nana wolke at management

Shows I haven’t seen yet but if you’re in the area they look good and I plan on going to them soon
-the secret history at Gladstone 64th st
-material world at Marianne boesky
-Malcolm Morley at Petzel
-Steven shore at 303 - always love a Steven shore show
